What is 5A zirconia?

5A Zirconia (also called 5A Cubic Zirconia or AAAAA-grade CZ) is the highest quality synthetic diamond simulant. This lab-created stone closely resembles a real diamond in brilliance and clarity, but is much more affordable.

Cubic Zirconia is graded on a scale from A (lowest quality) to 5A (highest quality). 5A stands for:

• Perfect clarity : Completely colourless and without inclusions or haze.
• Maximum brilliance : Precision ground for optimum fire and sparkle.
• High hardness : 8.5 on the Mohs scale (diamond is 10), so scratch-resistant and durable for everyday wear.

Sustainability is very important to us. Unlike mining real diamonds—a process that consumes enormous amounts of energy and leads to deforestation, soil erosion, and habitat destruction—5A cubic zirconia is created entirely in a laboratory.
